Anna Bacardit Dalmases is a senior researcher and educator specializing in sustainable leather technologies. She is a Contracted Full Professor at the University of Lleida and director of the A3 in Leather Innovation Center, a TECNIO-accredited research group. She has led or participated in over 30 R&D projects, including 10 as principal investigator, at regional, national, and European levels. With over 70 indexed publications and multiple patents, she is an expert in tanning innovation and circular bioeconomy. She has supervised 8 PhD theses and numerous MSc/BSc projects. Her contributions to higher education span 40+ countries, with notable leadership as director of master programs and engineering schools. She is active in EU innovation initiatives like METASKILLS and Erasmus+. She has published 4 textbooks on tanning and holds advanced accreditation in teaching and research. Her recent work includes valorizing agri-food by-products for bio-based tanning.
